Be ambitious. Develop the sense of competition. For instance, consider the student in your class who stands first in class and who get higher grades than you. Think why you can’t get higher marks than him. Has he two brain or four eyes? No, the only reason is that he is more interested in study than you are interested in study. You can get higher marks than him if you think how to make it possible. George Reeves says “you can if you think you can”. It means possibility of anything depend on your thinking. If you think that you can do it, you can surely do it. Have confidence in yourself and work hard. Nothing can divert you from your purpose.
Have one successful person as your ideal personality and think how did he become successful? Follow his the way which made him successful. Meet successful people and talk to them how they succeeded. They give you inspiration. It enhances your interest in your study.

Given favorable conditions, democracy is the best form of government known so far. It reconciles liberty and authority; it imbues the citizens with a sense of patriotism; it is a government by discussion; it rests on the will of the people; it treats all individuals as equals and tolerates the opposition; it aims at giving the greatest happiness to the greatest number of citizens in a state. Under the democratic form of government, human character develops and the individual realizes his best self.

India became free only in 1947 after many years of colonial rule. In the following years India had her constitution that declared India as a democratic federal republic. The first democratic election on the basis of universal adult franchise was held in 1952. However, during that election the people of India did not really had the necessary consciousness to understand democracy. They did not had the education to choose between good and evil. Many people were victims of age-old poverty, ignorance and superstitions. Many of them did not even understand the difference between the British and the new rulers. However, the entire election process were held through a democratic process.
